Macedonians Plant Six Million Trees In Single Day

That is truly awesome, their forests have been devastated by fires over the last two summers, so thousands of citizens took to the hills to do something about it.

"If Macedonia, a country of two million people, can plant six million trees, we can only imagine how many trees can be planted in other, bigger countries," said Boris Traganov, an opera singer, who initiated the project.

green gift ideas

if you're green and your friends and family aren't, maybe christmas is the perfect time to gently nudge them in that direction (for uber points - donate to an environmental charity on someone's behalf as a gift). the gift idea guide includes a personal fav, the reusable grocery bag entitled: "shop with a reusable bag, bitch!" - afterall, nothing says "the true meaning of christmas" like cursing at a loved one.

goodsense is blue….blue is the new green

There must be a full moon somewhere because I've come across 2 articles online today titled "Blue is the New Green".  I could have sworn that seafoam was the hot shade of green for the season (I'm looking at you Colin).  I couldn't agree more though - blue is the new green. How fitting that goodsense is blue...

Why we started goodsense

When the three of started the company, we sat down and had a long talk - not only about the service we wanted to provide, but how we wanted to create and run our company. It had to be different, and it had to have value for more than just making money, since we all [...]

Oh boy do we hope he can get it done…

I've been very inspired by Barack Obama's message of hope and change.  Among the many things that inspires me about Obama are his aggressive and badly needed environment goals.  Here's a good article detailing some of what the next President hopes to achieve.

All Electric Mini Unveiled

Wow - cute, fast, affordable and now with an all-electric engine.  Kudos to BMW for taking a lead to turn apply this technology to the Mini.  And boo to Detroit for dragging their feet again.  Didn't our good friends at GM have an electric car, the EV1, in 1996 that they killed a few short years later?  It makes me kinda sad to think that if the R&D $$$ spent on making the Escalade look pretty and the Cavalier look ugly were applied to making zero-emissions engines, Detroit would be in better shape today.  I digress... congrats to BMW and I can't wait to see electric Minis darting around city streets.
